A Jeju Tangerine Trip: Pick and Taste Them Yourself
From harvest farms to orchard cafes and a museum: tangerine outings to match your taste
The varieties and seasons available for the experience and how much you can take away differ by operator and product. Not every tangerine in the cafe photos is a harvestable fruit either. We chose based on official tourism information and operating notices, and the reference photos below do not guarantee the current crop or the start of any experience.
Southernmost Experience Tangerine Farm (Gamoemul)
Tangerine Harvest Experience at Gamoemul
The scope included in tangerine harvesting, animal and insect observation, the monorail, and so on differs depending on the product. Rather than thinking that admission or payment for one activity covers everything, decide which programs you want and then check the cost and harvest amount. Even if there is a seasonal variety guide, the same fruit is not guaranteed to be ready on your visit day. Before booking, check which farm is operating and the meeting point, and follow the staff's explanation on using harvest tools and on tasting and taking fruit away. If you combine several activities, leave plenty of time for rests.
Hyuaeri Natural Living Park
Park Visit and Tangerine Experience at Hueree
First check which products include the park ticket and the tangerine experience. A combo existing does not mean harvesting automatically comes with every ticket. For the day's variety, the amount you can take away, and conditions for children, it is more accurate to read the ticketing and booking guide. Tourism information gives park last admission as 4:30 p.m. from October to February, but the experience cutoff may be separate. To avoid arriving late and missing the picking, check the experience time first and place the park stroll before or after it.
Seogwipo Jeju Ein Tangerine Orchard Cafe
Jeju Ein Tangerine Orchard, a Cafe Among the Trees
Tangerines used at the orchard photo zone may be decorative, so do not take fruit visible in a photo as a sign that harvesting is under way. It is better to check the current operating conditions separately for ordering drinks, entering the orchard, and the tangerine picking and making activities. Tourism information shows a regular Sunday closure, so check again whether it is open before a weekend visit. When walking the outdoor space, do not move trees or props and use the designated areas, and leave a relaxed amount of time to drink after taking photos.
Cafe The Contena Jeju
The Container's Tangerine Orchard and Drink Time
Check the tangerine experience separately according to the season and cafe usage conditions. Rather than expecting the basket price in an old introduction to be the current fee, ask about the day's price and how much you can fit. Tourism information in particular lists a Wednesday closure and a minimum age of 5 to enter, so if you visit with young children, recheck the age requirement first. Find out whether ordering a drink includes joining the harvest and how far you may go into the orchard, and you can enjoy the cafe and farm comfortably.
Seogwipo Tangerine Museum
Tangerine Stories at the Citrus Museum
This item was chosen mainly for viewing the exhibits. The direct-run tangerine picking guide checked on October 16 still carried last year's notice of the experience ending, so it does not say this year's harvest experience has started. If you want the experience, check separately for a new recruitment notice. The operator's visitor guide shows 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with last admission at 5:30 p.m., and lists January 1 and the Seollal and Chuseok holidays as closure days. It is best to go after checking paid admission and discounts and the sign-up conditions for separate education programs.
When booking, check admission and activity fees, tasting and take-home amounts, and conditions for children to take part. Operations may change if it rains or the harvest is short. Harvest following the farm's guidance and look around with care for the fruit and trees, and the flavor of the trip will last longer.
