Meet Your Favorite Characters: 8 Pop-ups and Collab Cafés in November
From Sanrio, webtoons, and anime to BBNEXDO and the Sakura Tea Party opening November 11
Sometimes you want to meet the characters from a story you love outside the screen. Seeing plushies and accessories in person, taking photos against a backdrop that captures the story's mood, and choosing a drink inspired by a character all offer a different kind of joy from simply watching or reading. We've gathered eight pop-ups and limited-time cafés for different tastes, featuring Sanrio, webtoons, anime, and BOYNEXTDOOR characters.
The list includes events in Yongsan, Hongdae, Yeouido, Seongsu, and Samseong-dong in Seoul, plus Seomyeon in Busan. Rather than a route for visiting them all at once, use it as a list for picking your favorite series and the areas you can get to first. Some places focus on shopping while others combine games, photo zones, and cafés, so it's easy to choose according to your group's tastes.
All event periods are for 2026, with Harry Potter continuing into January 2027. The Sakura Tea Party is scheduled to open on November 11, so it's introduced last, separately from the other events. Reservation and purchase conditions differ for each event, so once you find one you like, read the dates and entry information together.
Sanrio Nyan Nyan Club Pop-up
This pop-up in Yongsan, Seoul, lets you meet Sanrio's cat friends all at once. Centered on Charmmy Kitty, Chococat, Nora Neko Land, and more, it's fun to explore each character's different expressions and accessories. With everything from plushies and keyrings to pouches and hair accessories, it also suits anyone hoping to discover something new beyond the characters they already know.
It's on the 6th floor of I'Park Mall Living Park and runs until November 22. There's an on-site queue, and some days also take advance reservations, so check the booking information for your visit date. Gifts vary by payment conditions and date and may run out. It's a cashless store, so be sure to bring a payment method.
Special Civil Servant: Rakshasa Surveillance Zone
Special Civil Servant: Rakshasa Watch Zone
What would it be like to join the Ganghwado Team, the secret department from the webtoon? The Special Civil Servant pop-up invites visitors into the story with the premise that they're being deployed to a site where Rakshasa have appeared. With experiences that draw on the story's world, such as games where you defeat Rakshasa or sort complaints and observation reports, you can engage with the series in a way that's different from looking at character art.
It runs until November 11 at Dopamine Station on the 3rd floor of I'Park Mall Living Park in Yongsan. Game themes may change over time, so don't expect all content to be running at once. After the initial advance reservation period, entry switched to on-site admission, and there may be a wait when it's busy. If you're going with someone new to the series, walk them through the basic premise as you look around.
Crunchyroll Festival Korea 2026 Hongdae Pop-up
If you're a fan of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Part 1, the Crunchyroll pop-up at AK Plaza in Hongdae should catch your eye. With photo booths and a goods shop themed on these titles, you can capture the atmosphere you saw on screen in photos and collectibles. It's a good pick when you're looking for somewhere to go with a friend who shares your favorite scenes and characters.
The pop-up runs until November 8, but not every Crunchyroll Festival program repeats until then. The October 25 performance and the October 31 special screening were events with their own dates and participation methods. First make sure your destination now is the AK Plaza pop-up, and check that space's information for photo booth conditions and goods stock.
Tansan Magnesium × Hello Jadoo Pop-up
At COEX Mall in Samseong-dong, Tansan Magnesium meets Hello Jadoo. This pop-up connects the familiar Jadoo character with collaboration products, suiting those who enjoy characters not only as plushies or figures but as things to wear and use. Recall memories of growing up with the series as you browse and compare the illustrations and designs applied to the clothing.
The venue is in front of Jamba Juice on basement level 1, and it's open until November 8. COEX Mall is huge, so it's easier to remember the landmark near the event space than to just head for the building. Sales conditions, stock, and the scope of promotions for each item follow on-site guidance. If you're going for a specific item, first check whether the mall's business hours match the pop-up's actual sales cutoff.
Harry Potter Mahou Dokoro Busan Pop-up
Harry Potter Mahou Dokoro in Seomyeon, Busan, is a space for browsing goods that bring the wizarding world into everyday life. It suits fans who want to pick out items while recalling the atmosphere they loved in the films. Held at Fandom Space on basement level 1 of Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch, it's easy to work into a day of dining or shopping in Seomyeon.
It runs until January 7, 2027, giving you more dates to choose from than the other short-term November events. For the first three days after opening, both advance and on-site reservations were offered; after that, just check the on-site queue information. Some new items were announced as arriving in early November, so don't assume every featured product will be in stock on the day you visit. Purchase gifts also come with spending conditions and quantity limits.
Futaba Village Residents' Festival in Busan
Kasukabe Residents' Grand Festival in Busan
If you love the friends from Kasukabe, the Crayon Shin-chan pop-up in Busan is another option. Under the name Residents' Grand Festival, it offers both character goods and photo zones, so you can enjoy shopping and photo-taking together. Rather than going in with just one item in mind, plan to explore the space while thinking of your favorite characters and scenes.
It runs until November 8 at Fandom Space on basement level 1 of Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch. You can pair it with the Harry Potter pop-up on the same floor, but the two events have different themes and operating guidelines. Follow the on-site signs for the Shin-chan queue and purchase limits, and if you're adding it to a Busan trip, keep in mind the different closing times on weekends and weekdays.
BOYNEXTDOOR × BBNEXDO: BBNEXDO in Sweet Dreams
This pop-up at The Hyundai Seoul lets you meet BBNEXDO, BOYNEXTDOOR's official characters. You can see the characters in a Sweet Dreams theme and listen to the members' voice messages via on-site QR codes, making it a great fit for anyone who wants to enjoy both music fandom and characters. Bring your own earphones to enjoy the audio content comfortably. Unlike a trip just to pick up goods, it's good to set aside time to listen to the messages and take photos.
It's at ICONIC on basement level 1, running until November 3, but closed on the 2nd when the department store is closed. After entering with a reservation, you can stay for up to one hour, and re-entry after leaving is not allowed. Even if walk-in viewing is possible depending on conditions, a reservation QR code is required to buy goods, so prepare your visit depending on whether you only want the experience or also plan to shop.
Sakura and Tomoyo's Tea Party – Opens November 11
Sakura and Tomoyo's Tea Party — Opens November 11
A tea party is coming that will delight fans who remember the series as Cardcaptor Cherry, its Korean title. Themed on Sakura and Tomoyo, this café offers six character drinks and collaboration goods previously released in Japan. With items that tie into the tea party concept, such as teacups, plates, and pouches, you can plan a visit to sit and relax for a while as you think back on the series.
The event opens on November 11 at Musinsa Space Seoul Forest. Reservations are announced to open on POPGA at 12 noon on November 4, and all seats are by advance reservation only. Goods can also only be purchased by visitors who use the café after reserving, so don't drop by as if it were a regular shop. Check the details on drinks, admission, and perks when choosing your time slot, and remember that the event hasn't started yet.
If you already have a favorite character, start with that event; if you'd like to casually browse several series, first decide whether you're after photos, games, or goods. On your own, you can plan around taking time to compare accessories; with friends, you can focus on chatting about the stories and taking photos.
For reservation-only cafés, it's better to secure a time slot first than to hope for a seat on site. Goods sales and visitor perks are separate from whether you can get in, so stock isn't guaranteed. Keep in mind that BBNEXDO ends soon and Sakura starts later, then pick the events that match your location and dates to create your own fan outing.
