Following the River and Wetlands Expands the Sky of Iksan

The natural scenery of Iksan is characterized by the wide horizons created by the Geumgang River, wetlands, reservoirs, and low forests, rather than mountains. The sunsets at Woongo and Seongdangpo, the wetlands at Yongan and Yuchun, as well as the parks close to the city center and Hamrasan, all present the same greenery but with completely different visuals depending on whether seen by the water or in the woods.

By simply altering the ratio of sky to water at the shore, the same place can appear completely different. After taking wide sunset shots, try to capture the reeds, the texture of the deck, and the curves of the forest path up close. If people are included, place them small enough to showcase the scale of the landscape, while waiting for the flow of passersby to capture natural moments.

Woongo and Seongdangpo Village, along with Yongan, belong to the northwestern riverside area, while Seodong Park and Dalbit Sound Arboretum can be explored in the eastern area to reduce travel burden. Be sure to check the operational days for the arboretum and ensure you have time to descend Hamrasan before sunset.
