As you walk through Gwangju's old downtown, small structures that are neither buildings nor sculptures appear at corners, plazas, and between shops. Gwangju Poly is a project that revives the memory of the city and the location of the lost castle through architecture. Following the gaps and repetitions in the artwork, along with seating areas and light, the once-ordinary Chungjang-ro and Geumnam-ro transform into new photo backgrounds.

In this selection, we chose 8 works that are close together and easy to compare by walking, based on the official Gwangju Poly location data. We separated the names and coordinates of the artworks into individual places and designed the shooting points to include the surrounding shops, bystanders, and alley widths, making the meaning of urban regeneration visible. Checking operational information and the weather before your visit will provide time to consider compositions on site.
