Baekdo is not a land destination, but rather a protected area to be viewed from a cruise when the weather and wave conditions allow. Therefore, this list is organized not by sightseeing rankings but in an order that aligns with preparation from the first day of arrival to trekking and cruising. Ferry reservations are separate from Baekdo cruises, and cancellation criteria may vary, so be sure to check each one independently.

Geomundo Harbor

This is the reference point for trips to Geomundo, where ferries from Yeosu and Goheung arrive. First, identify the locations of accommodations, restaurants, and the dock, and check the return ticket and weather information to easily plan your walking and vehicle routes. Since ferries do not run as frequently on the island as on the mainland, verify pick-up or transportation options from the harbor before departing.

This is a representative trekking spot where you can overlook the sea and outlines of the islands from the central ridge of Seodo. This is a trekking attraction where you can view the rocky terrain rising toward the sea from the southern ridge of Bul-tan Peak. Although it may seem close, the ups and downs of the ridge and the trail conditions can take more time. To get clear photos, do not approach the edge of the rocks, and if the wind is strong or visibility is poor, the progress toward Mokneung and the lighthouse should be cautiously reduced.

A scenic area made up of dozens of rocky islands and marine erosion formations, which is viewed from a cruise boat for natural protection, without landing. On the first day, take your time exploring Geomundo Harbor, the historical park, and the village. On stable weather days, choose between either the ridge of Bul-tan Peak or Noksan Cape. The Geomundo Lighthouse should be set aside as a specific destination for southern trekking, and adjust other plans only when the cruise to Baekdo is confirmed.

Prepare drinking water, snacks, motion sickness medicine, a power bank, and a windbreaker on land to reduce any unexpected situations on the limited island options. When at the cliffs and tidal rocks, stay on the trails for photos, and do not take any plants, stones, or marine life from the protected area. Also, consider the possibility that the return ferry may be canceled and avoid over-scheduling your itinerary afterward.
