When visiting Hwasun for the first time, it's easy to think of it merely as a hot spring or a drive destination near Gwangju, but the actual scenery is much broader. From the Jukbyeok rising above the water, the dolmens along the valleys, the legend of Cheonbulcheontap immersed in Unjusa Temple, to the lovely Seyangji surrounded by seasonal mist, nature and history unfold in different directions. The eight locations are widely scattered from east to west, so fitting them all into one day is not recommended. If you separate the dolmens and Unjusa Temple in the Dogok and Doam area, the Seyangji and Kkochganggil in Hwasun-eup, and the Jukbyeok and Baegasan in the northern area, the movement becomes simpler. Especially, some parts of the Jukbyeok are in a protected area and can only be seen through designated tours, while preparations are needed for hiking the Baegasan Sky Bridge. If you choose to tour the Jukbyeok or hike Baegasan on the same day, reduce the number of other locations to minimize travel and physical exertion.

At cultural heritage sites and temples, please adhere to entry regulations and photography guidelines, and stick to the designated paths at forests and reservoirs. Seasonal events, music fountains, and Jukbyeok tours do not always occur at the same time, so check notifications just before your visit. Given that the distances between the locations can be long, plan your meals, refueling, and return times without rushing.
