Jeans may bleed color due to indigo dye and processing methods, even when new. However, it's important not to wash all jeans the same way. Simply reducing the number of washes is not the solution. Assess the smell, stains, and sweat level to determine when to wash, while avoiding high temperatures, strong friction, and excessive drying. Avoid using bleach and harsh stain removers without testing for color change on inconspicuous areas and don’t mix different detergents. Wet jeans can become heavy, leading to stretching, so it's better to lay them flat to dry rather than hanging them by the waist.
