Damyang's greenery goes beyond just one type of bamboo. The dense bamboo forest of Juknokwon, the sturdy old trees of Gwanbangjerim, the symmetry of the Metasequoia-lined street, as well as the open landscapes of parks and Provence create entirely different photos based on the height of the trees and the width of the paths. By widening your view to Bongsan and Geumsung-myeon, you can also encounter flower gardens and serene bamboo forests.
This list features eight iconic green spots in Damyang that will help even first-time visitors distinguish between locations and reasons for taking photos. We have separated the seemingly similar bamboo forests and Metasequoia spaces into different compositions based on perspective, reflection, architecture, and flowers, while noting entry times and precautions against damaging protected trees and planted areas for each location.

Instead of strictly following famous composition poses at Juknokwon, first observe the lines and light of the space. If you want to describe the nature and architecture of Damyang in one shot, it's best to capture the surrounding context of Gwanbangjerim as well. Overlapping old tree trunks with the surface of Gwanbang Stream shows the forest's age and seasonal reflections. Recommended times are early mornings when the wind is calm. Avoid stepping on the roots of protected trees and prioritize pathways for cyclists and residents. Taking photos with the subject a few steps back from the background and using a wide-angle 2x or so will reduce distortion of the architecture and scenery.

When sharing the vast view and small textures of materials on the Metasequoia lined road, the character of the place becomes distinct. Align the rows of trees on both sides accurately and place people small to emphasize the perspective of the path and the height of the trees. Recommended times are right after opening when there are fewer visitors. Even in sections that resemble roads, use designated viewing paths, and avoid creating long lines for photo taking. If you want to describe the nature and architecture of Damyang in one shot, it's best to also capture the surrounding context of Bamboo Valley Theme Park. Taking shots of the dense bamboo forest and dirt path from a low perspective expresses a more natural texture of the forest compared to Juknokwon. Recommended times are in the morning when the light is soft. Check the operating status and entry conditions first, and follow the control lines of private facilities.
