The stone walls of Ganggol Village, the pond of Yeolhwa Pavilion, the thick trees of the Jieunrae Plane Tree Forest, and the tidy axes of Boseong Confucian School reveal how people have created living spaces between nature and architecture.

This list consists of eight actual historical and traditional sites. Since Ganggol Village and the old houses are living spaces for residents, do not enter without permission inside the gates or private properties. Be sure to check the accessibility of the Confucian school, shrine, and art galleries, and take photos only from the designated paths around the ancient trees to avoid damaging the roots and facilities.

When photographing traditional sites, rather than just capturing the front of the buildings, try to observe the axis connecting the gate to the courtyard and the back mountain, the direction in which the stone walls embrace the alleys, and the spaces where people rest under the ancient trees. Mixing photos that closely capture the materials of the tiles and earthen walls with broad village landscapes allows for a more three-dimensional view of the life history of Boseong.
