5 Band and Rock Concerts to Feel the Energy of Live Music
Shows from November to New Year's Day, chosen by comparing standing and reserved seats
Listening to recorded music is different from hearing a band's sound in person. You may want to enjoy the moment when the crowd reacts to the same rhythm, or you may want to sit and follow the texture of the instruments and voices. We've gathered five shows by My Chemical Romance, Xdinary Heroes, SORAN, wave to earth, and THE NERDCONNECTION, along with how you'll watch each one.
These are Seoul and Incheon shows running from November 2026 through January 1, 2027. We separate shows with standing areas from all-reserved-seat shows, so even people who love live music but find standing for a long time tough can compare their options. Rather than heading as close to the stage as possible no matter what, decide on the spot that suits you and your group.
Keep in mind, too, that show dates and ticket-opening dates differ. THE NERDCONNECTION tickets are scheduled to open on November 25, and for My Chemical Romance the rescheduled November 7 date applies. Choose your date according to the organizer's and ticketing site's current notices, and prepare seat, entry, and ID requirements in advance so you can focus on the music on the day.
My Chemical Romance Live in Korea
If you've been waiting for My Chemical Romance to come to Korea, first check the date the organizer has rescheduled to. This show takes place on November 7 at Paradise City Culture Park. It's a fitting choice for anyone who wants to hear the band's sound live and share the same moments with the crowd. It's important not to confuse it with the earlier April date still showing up in searches, and to prepare based on the show-day notices.
It starts at 7 p.m. and is listed at about 90 minutes. With standing and two types of reserved seats, decide first whether you want to join in on your feet or have a seat to watch from. You'll also need to plan how to get to the venue on Yeongjongdo and how to get back after it ends. Check the age and ID requirements for purchase and entry on the latest Ticketlink listing, and plan your arrival time around the entry guidelines for each section.
Xdinary Heroes Concert IMPULSE
Xdinary Heroes Concert 〈IMPULSE〉
Xdinary Heroes' IMPULSE at Inspire Arena suits anyone who wants to enjoy a band show on a big stage. If you want to feel the energy of live music but standing entry feels like a lot, look at how this show works, since it's listed as all reserved seating. You can compare not only how close you are to the stage but also spots where you can see the whole production.
There are three shows on November 13~15: Friday starts at 7 p.m., Saturday at 5 p.m., and Sunday at 4 p.m. All seats are 154,000 won, but seat availability needs to be checked separately for each show. The booking guide also covers ID checks for the booker and the actual attendee and how mobile tickets work. Factor in travel time to Yeongjongdo in Incheon, and deciding in advance how you'll get home after the show will make your day easier.
SORAN Winter Concert LAYERING
SORAN Winter Concert 〈LAYERING〉
SORAN's winter concert LAYERING shows that standing and jumping isn't the only way to enjoy a band show. Held at LG SIGNATURE Hall, LG Arts Center Seoul, with all reserved seating, it suits people who want a fixed seat and to focus on the flow of the music and stage. The show's title is introduced as a concept carried over from the album Layer, so it's also nice to listen to the new music's mood before you go.
There are two shows, November 21 at 6 p.m. and November 22 at 4 p.m., listed at about 120 minutes. For R, S, and A seats, compare location and budget together. Tickets booked through YES24 aren't shipped; instead, you print paper tickets at the lobby kiosk on the day of the show. Pickup methods may differ by ticketing site, so prepare according to your own booking, and leave time for printing your tickets.
wave to earth the pieces tour – Seoul
wave to earth 〈the pieces tour〉 — Seoul
wave to earth's Seoul show offers both standing and reserved seats, so you can choose how you want to watch. Compare the sections depending on whether you want to react to the music up close with the crowd or have a set seat to take in the stage. Even at the same band's show, the experience can differ depending on where you are and how you watch, so it's a good idea to talk with your group about what you prefer first.
It runs for three days, December 18~20, at Korea University's Hwajeong Gymnasium. The schedule includes an added Friday show, and the start time differs each day. According to the official ticketing site, the age limit is 11 and up, and prices are listed at 132,000 won for standing and 143,000 won for reserved seats. If you choose standing, check the entry order and waiting guidelines; if reserved, check the seating chart and sections, and get ready for about two hours of show.
THE NERDCONNECTION 2026
If you want to pick the last show of the year or the first show of the new year, THE NERDCONNECTION 2026 is a candidate. Split across December 31 and January 1, 2027, it's a stage that doesn't stop at the year's end but carries on into the start of the next year. It suits people who want to look back on the music they listened to with friends all year, or make music their first plan of the new year.
The venue is YES24 LIVE HALL; the first day starts at 8 p.m. and New Year's Day at 5 p.m. Prices differ between the 1st and 2nd floors, and the listed running time is 120 minutes. Ticket sales are announced to open on November 25 at 8 p.m., so distinguish this from shows where you can buy seats right now. Check the detailed seating chart for how each floor works and the entry procedures, and don't assume a midnight countdown is guaranteed just because it's a year-end show.
If you want to enjoy the stage up close with everyone, look into waiting and entry order for the standing area; if you'd rather have a set place to watch from, check the location and sightlines of the reserved sections. wave to earth and My Chemical Romance let you compare both ways of watching, while SORAN and Xdinary Heroes are listed as all reserved seating. Band shows, too, can be enjoyed in whatever way suits you.
For the Yeongjongdo shows, check transportation after the show ends; for year-end and New Year shows, double-check the date and performance you've agreed on. The word "year-end" on a poster doesn't mean a midnight event or extra stage is confirmed. Bring the ticket screen and ID you need for entry, and leave time to arrive by the officially announced start time, and waiting for the live show will feel much easier.
