After Song Kang's Dramas, Go to the Source: 4 Webtoons and Books

If you've watched Song Kang's dramas and become curious about the original stories, continue the experience with these four comics. Sweet Home and Nevertheless link to their official webtoon pages, while Navillera and “Love Alarm” link to the first volume of the original print editions.

In Sweet Home, you can follow isolated characters and the threat of monsters, and in Nevertheless, the glances and relationships between characters, all at the pace of the artwork. Navillera centers on the meeting of a 70-year-old challenger and a wandering young man, and “Love Alarm” on an app that announces romantic interest and the choices the characters make.

The fun of this list is revisiting memorable drama scenes through the panels and dialogue of the originals. The plot and characterizations may differ depending on the adaptation. Decide first whether you'll read the webtoon or start with a print book, and note that the print entries are first volumes, not the whole series.

For the tension of monsters and survival, choose Sweet Home; for subtle feelings and relationships, Nevertheless. For “Navillera” and “Love Alarm,” you can start reading the originals based on the book details and cover of the first print volume.

We've marked webtoon series links and first print volumes separately. Not every episode is free even for completed series, and a single print volume does not contain the whole story. Look over the episodes or editions currently available and choose how you want to read.
