Jeju Local Food in One Hot Bowl
A trip tasting momguk, gosari yukgaejang, gogi guksu, fish soup, and bomal kalguksu at real restaurants
Four are in Jeju City and Okdom Sikdang is in Daejeong-eup, Seogwipo, so this is not a course to cover in a day. Pick one restaurant that suits your lodging and next destination. Menus and business information are based on official tourism information, and prices, waits, and sell-outs may vary on site. The photos are reference material for the menus and spaces.
Ujin Haejangguk

Tourism information lists the hours of the main building and the annex separately. The main building is shown as 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., but the annex runs shorter hours and is also noted as closed on Tuesdays, so it is best to check which building you will visit and how to sign up that day. A line may form when crowded, so avoid squeezing it in right before heading to the airport. Takeout and parcel delivery are also advertised, but ordering methods and available quantities need to be asked about separately. It helps to also look at the conditions for using the public parking lot in front of the shop and your plan for after the meal.
Sinseol Oreum
Sinseol Oreum's Mojaban Momguk
If you want noodles, you can ask whether momguksu is currently available. With several people, adding domibegogi is an option, but deciding first whether to eat one bowl each or share makes ordering easier. Tourism information marks a regular Monday closure, so check the day you visit. Rather than trusting older information that it is open late, ask about that day's operation and last order. If someone in your group finds pork broth or seaweed hard to eat, look at menus everyone can share before ordering.
Jamae Guksu
Jamae Guksu's Gogi Guksu and Domibegogi
So as not to confuse it with the older noodle street or another branch's address, check both the business name and the Hanggol-nam-gil address. Tourism information shows a regular Wednesday closure and a mid-day break from 2:30 to 4:10 p.m. Lunch last orders can vary with crowds, so be careful about plans to arrive late judging only by the closing time. Check whether you need to register for the line first and where to park, and with children, ask about children's portions or the conditions for sharing, and you can start the meal comfortably.
Apbaengdi Restaurant
Appaengdi Restaurant's Jeju Fish Soup
Other dishes such as braised or grilled fish and domibegogi are also introduced, so with several visitors you can pick something to share along with a bowl of soup. But rather than expecting the complimentary side dishes or extra charges in an old introduction to be the same now, check the current menu. The start time differs by day and it is announced as open only through lunch on Sundays, so check especially when planning dinner. If sharing fish with children, check for bones, and if there are ingredients you must avoid, ask about the broth's composition before ordering.
Okdom Restaurant
Okdom Sikdang's Bomal Jeonbok Hand-Cut Noodle Soup
It is far from the other restaurants in Jeju City, so choosing it as a meal for a Moseulpo or Daejeong travel day makes movement easier. The operating guide in the tourism information shows 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a regular Wednesday closure, and notes it may close early when ingredients run out. If you plan a late lunch, check remaining orders and whether it is open before setting out. Companions who find seafood hard to eat should first note that it contains bomal and abalone, and then order after checking the current menu and price. The side dishes in the photo may differ from that day's table setting.
Check regular closing days, selling out of ingredients, and mid-day break times before you set out. If there are ingredients you find hard to eat, such as pork, seafood, wheat, or buckwheat, do not judge by the menu name; ask the restaurant. On flight days, leave plenty of time for waiting and travel so you can finish your meal comfortably.
