3 Year-End Christmas Markets in Gwanghwamun, Incheon and Busan
From a free downtown market to an indoor vintage market and an outdoor village
We've gathered three events you can visit in December 2026, and the Gwanghwamun market continues until January 10 of the new year. For each one, we note whether it opens every day of its run or only on certain days, and whether admission is free or paid. Early-bird deadlines and Christmas special fares also differ, so instead of heading out based only on the calendar dates, compare the tickets and opening hours for your visit day first.
Gwanghwamun Market 2026
This is a downtown winter market held at Gwanghwamun Square and Sejongno Park. It's a nice addition to your plans when you want to soak up the year-end mood while browsing seasonal goods and snacks. According to the Seoul Tourism Organization's revised notice, the market runs from December 11 to January 10, 2027, which differs from the December 4 opening date announced earlier. Please plan your visit around the revised dates.
The market is divided into three seasons: December 11–20, 21–30, and December 31–January 10. The vendors you'll meet may change from season to season, so if you're after a particular product, it's best to check the notice for that season. Entry to the market is free, but shopping and food cost extra. Don't assume the opening hours listed for other years' events still apply; check this year's detailed opening notice before you go. Since you'll be walking around an outdoor square and park, dress for the cold and leave time to warm up indoors between stops.
Oslow Vintage Christmas Market
The Oslow Vintage Christmas Market is an indoor market where you can browse vintage clothing and accessories while enjoying music. It uses Hall 1, Hall 2 and the lounge of Incheon's Sangsang Platform, and since participating vendors may change every week, it suits people who like to take their time hunting for old things and everyday items. It's an option worth comparing when the cold of an outdoor market feels like too much.
The event does not open throughout the entire period listed. It runs only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, December 4–6, 11–13 and 18–20, for a total of nine days, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. A regular one-day ticket is 10,000 won, advance tickets bought November 2–30 are 5,000 won, and elementary school students and younger get in free. Keep in mind that the ticket covers admission only, separate from what you spend on goods. Reading the same-day re-entry policy and the conditions for free entry for companions before you go makes it easier to plan other stops nearby.
Christmas Village Busan 2026
This event turns the outdoor plaza of Busan Cinema Center into a Christmas market. Gift shops, food and performances come together in one place, but individual programs don't run the same way at all hours, so check the day's schedule for any stage or activity you want to catch. The name "Cinema Center" can make you think the whole venue is indoors, so dress for the time you'll spend outside.
It runs from November 26 to December 25, opening every Thursday through Sunday plus the final week of December 21–25, for 21 days in total. Hours are 4–10 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on weekends and on December 24 and 25. Regular prices from November 2 are 5,900 won for weekday and weekend daytime, 7,900 won for weekend evenings, and 14,900 won for December 24 and 25. Don't confuse these with the early-bird prices that have already ended, and choose the ticket that matches your visit day. Free admission for children under 36 months requires proof of age.
Incheon opens only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and Busan only on set days of the week plus the final week, so pay special attention to closed days. Don't mistake Busan's discount that ended on November 1 for the current price. Be ready for cold and changing weather at outdoor events, and if there's a particular vendor or program you want to see, check the latest participation notice before setting out with plenty of time to spare.
